Church history indicates that there are churches across the globe who seek to live out church life as true to the New Testament pattern as possible. CTL is one such church. Our understanding is that:
- the highest human authority recognised by scripture for the church is that team of men called elders;
- the gospel is best preached in word and deed by the planting of local churches;
- the focus for the church is outward and missional;
- church leadership is servant-hearted and the recognition of it is to confirm the function (and not office) that it is performing;
- baptism is for believers.
